Curse review

Curse takes a look at the subject of digital stalking.

Voyeurism is one of the biggest issues the film deals with as well as the fact it seems you can track down anyone with fairly limited information.

This short deals with a teenage girl who is being threatened by a man through texts and emails after a failed one night stand.

What is quite interesting here is that even though there is an overarching darker plot, it’s the relationship between the the girl and her group of friends that becomes the crux of the story.

There’s more than meets the eye here, excuse the bad Transformers pun, but Curse ramps up to dark finale which leaves things very much unresolved and us as viewers hungry for more.

Being independent, there are limitations in terms of budget for action scenes but films such as Curse thrive on story over spectacle.
