Colin Carvey is a good boy, he’s also a candy collector and a costume maker; so you can guess what his favourite time of year is.
While assessing his trick-or-treating haul, Colin is accosted by the local bullies, who steal his stash and make a run for it. From here chaos unfolds as Colin with his mask glued to his body tries to get free but is mistaken for someone who has gone a bit too far on All Hallows Eve.
Long Halloween is shot like an old silent film with cue cards throughout which piece together the plot and make it all the more endearing.
Played out more like a Laurel and Hardy sketch than a slasher film, it is sprinkled with slapstick humour rather than balls to the wall gore.
To say Colin has the Halloween from hell is an understatement, which is plenty of fun.
Colin Carvey’s Long Halloween screens as part of Fantasia Fest 2023.
