What Big Teeth by Rose Szabo review

While you do have to suspend some disbelief when reading tales about werewolves, quite rarely do you get one as grounded as What Big Teeth.

It goes without saying that this novel has its fantastical elements but at the heart of it, the story is very much a coming of age/family drama.

Eleanor returns to her family home after being sent away for school, but after a death in the family she invites an unknown quantity to their home and discovers more than she bargains for.

Author Szabo wastes no time in letting us know we are involved in a werewolf tale, but once the obvious is out the way we follow Eleanor in a story more fantasy than horror.

While the book clocks in at almost 350 pages, this story is hard to put down and contains plenty of curveballs that will keep you engrossed throughout.

What Big Teeth is definitely for readers after something a little different and top quality.

What Big Teeth by Rose Szabo is available now in e-book formats and paperback from Titan Books.
