Demonhuntr review (Soho Horror Film Fest – Pride Edition

As part of the Soho Horror Film Festival we were given a taster for the new LGBT horror web series Demonhuntr.

These two episodes felt like a good table setter to really establish the world we would be exploring. There is the quippy nature of a Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossed with some more steamy elements.

In the opening episode we meet our Demonhuntr crew who are sent to investigate possible Psirens, and struggle to keep it in their pants even when on the job – so to speak.

Demonhuntr also showcases some fantastic action sequences with our duo Daniel and Jeremy giving Cobra Kai a run for their money with some martial art action.

By the second episode we are settling into how the narratives will play out, with this being a queer paranormal investigation series.

As a web series it is bitesize too so no one really outstays their welcome and by the conclusion of episode 2 we are very much assembling our Scooby gang to fight the forces of the supernatural.

It will be intriguing to see how this series develops once it is released in full format in the near future.

Demonhuntr episodes 1&2 played as part of the Soho Horror Film Festival – Pride Edition.
