Grimmfest have announced a special two day Christmas Horror Nights virtual events on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th December 2020.
The films featured are as follows –
Deathcember (UK premiere) – A seasonal spin on the multiple micro short anthology format of THE ABCS OF DEATH, in which twenty-four top filmmakers from around the world fulminate on the festive season, this is an advent calendar chocolate box filled with tasty treats, sickening sweets, and some decidedly unmerry ding-dongs. Boasting a whole host of familiar genre faces, and narratives ranging from splattery satire to eerily surreal, from deliberately schlocky, to confrontationally shocking, there’s something here for everyone. But be warned, some of these gruesome goodies might leave a nastier taste in the mouth than you might be expecting.
For the Sake of Vicious – An innocent nurse, a vengeful father and an injured hostage face off against a pack of violent intruders as they descend upon their place of refuge.
Red Screening – A rainy night in Montevideo, 1993, and Cinema employee Ana finds herself taking her ailing father’s place in the projection booth for the final screening of the evening – a gory old horror movie. But there’s a violent maniac loose in the auditorium, and the screening which follows proves far more final than either she or the audience could ever imagine…
Rose – Gripped by a violent, terrifying illness, Rose lives in seclusion with her husband, but the arrival of a stranger shatters the fragile refuge they have built.
