It’s safe to say the latest entry (13th by the way) in the Puppet Master franchise is strictly one for the fans.
Everything is played fairly tongue in cheek with horror alumni Udo Kier and Barbara Crampton making appearances.
The Littlest Reich is a gore fans dream with some really creative kills, which more than make up for the paper thin plot.
There’s also a refreshing lack of CGI with the makers favouring practical effects.
Obvious comparisons with the Child’s Play franchise are inevitable, but these dolls do lack the character of Chucky, which in turn makes them fairly predictable.
Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich is an attempt to re-energise a perceived long dead franchise, sadly these are some killer dolls that should have stayed dead.
