In some unexpected St. Patrick’s Day news, the Leprechaun franchise will return next year with The Void Director Steven Kontanski attached.
The film will be a direct sequel to the 1993 original, which starred Warwick Davis.
‘Leprechaun Returns’ will find the maniacal pot of gold chaser awakened by a group of sorority girls, while tearing down a cabin to build a new sorority house.
Replacing Warwick Davis in the title role will be Linden Porco, who has previously starred in Little Man and more recently Channel Zero.
The film is written by Suzanne Kelly, who has previous writing credits for Ash vs the Evil Dead.
Original star Mark Holton returns to the franchise after escaping the Leprechaun’s clutches the first time and will be joined by Taylor Spreitler (Kevin Can Wait), Pepi Sonuga (Ash vs The Evil Dead), Emily Reid and Ben McGregor.
Leprechaun Returns will debut on SyFy in March 2019.
