Horror Book of 2017 – Final Girls by Riley Sager

Yes we know it’s already 2018, but we thought we’d squeeze a few more highlights of the yeat just past in.

There have been some great horror novels this year, bur Riley Sager’s survivor tale Final Girls is head and shoulders above your average.

Given the seal of approval by one Stephen King, the story came with a lot of hype but certainly delivered. In a similiar vein to film Last Girl Standing, the story follows a group of young girls who have survived horrific massacres and become almost a support group to each other aka Final Girls.

When one of the girls turns up dead, it sets a deadly plan in motion which could bring all the girls together in very twisted circumstances.

This concept is interesting enough but Final Girls throws so many red herrings and curve balls that it will keep you gripped right up until it’s final pages.

Author Sager has a new novel The Last Time I Lied due next summer, and we can’t wait to read what it has in store.
