You hear rumours every now and then of a third Gremlins film but as quick as the rumours start they are usually quashed.
So if you are still pining for a return of Gizmo and co. then Ryan Patrick’s fan film Gremlins: Recall is the perfect antidote.
The attention to detail here is a sight to behold with the same song playing during the opening scene as in the original and there is a connection to the original film.
Mogwais can now be household pets given the right kind of treatment, which allows them to be fed after midnight and gotten wet.
But of course things can go wrong very quickly and the Gremlins are back to terrorise a cafe. The practical effects are fantastic and the story is a continuation which allows growth of the mythology.
