Mayhem review

It’s very rare that you could consider a horror film as a star vehicle, but this is as close as you will get for actor Steven Yeun.

The former Walking Dead star, who met his end at the hands of Lucille and Negan basically plays a similiar character in Joe Lynch’s Mayhem.

That’s not to say that this isn’t bombastic fun, because it definitely is.

Riffing on similiar themes as The Belko Experiment, a high rise office block is plagued with a virus which causes its infected to go well…..mad.

There’s plenty of ketchup for the gore hounds and the mood is suitably slapstick but there’s also an underlying theme of sticking it to corporate greed.

Lynch handles action scenes with ease, with plenty of entertaining set pieces.

Mayhem is a completely bonkers rollercoaster ride well worth your time.
