When Goosebumps hit the big screen in 2015 it was certainly one of the horror highlights of the year.
The film captured the 80’s vibe of Gremlins and E.T with stellar performances from Dylan Minnette and Jack Black.
It’s rumoured that sequel Horrorland being penned by Robert Lieber, won’t include Black’s R.L Stine due to scheduling conflicts and Sony’s cost cutting.
There’s currently no deal in place for him to return to the family-friendly series, as he is rumoured to command a salary of between $6 and $8 million.
Horrorland is the multi-book series which also featured on the live action TV series where a family becomes trapped at a horror themed park.
It’s still unclear if Minnette will return too or whether Lieber’s script will introduce a brand new set of characters.
Goosebumps: Horrorland is set for release in September 2018.
