Brit horror Blockhead set for limited UK release

New British horror Blockhead is set for a limited UK theatrical release from 5 November 2026.

In Blockhead, a failing novelist desperate for inspiration thinks his muse appears to him in the form of a drunk, psychotic decorator. As his novel takes shape, his life spirals and erupts into a violent chaos, but his next piece could just possibly be genius.

Blockhead is the first narrative feature from Matt Harlock, the director behind award-winning documentary American: The Bill Hicks Story. Produced by Oliver Kendall of Mintcake Productions and Harlock’s Halflife Films, it stars Danny Horn (Sunny Afternoon, Dr. Who), Joe Sims (Reunion, Broadchurch, Ruby Speaking) and Michele Moran (The Witcher).

Blockhead received its world premiere at FrightFest in 2025 and before embarking on an international festival run, including Encounters Film Festival, Bristol Independent Film Festival and London Independent Film Festival, where the film won the award for Best Thriller.

Blockhead will be touring the UK from 5 November and will be released on digital platforms 4 January from Blue Finch Film Releasing.
