Scottish independent horror author Mark Smith has announced the release of his dark sci-fi horror audiobook, The Horror on Sanctuary, now available on Audible. Narrated by Samuel Goodacre.
Blending cosmic horror, dystopian science fiction, and themes of faith, control, and survival, the novel takes listeners aboard Sanctuary, a colossal generation ship drifting through the endless void of space.
Moses is a Paladin of the Order of the Sun, devoted to enforcing the will of the Eye of Helios, an all-seeing artificial intelligence worshipped as a god. When he discovers a forbidden relic, his faith is shattered by secrets buried deep within the ship’s decaying heart. Meanwhile, a terrifying infection spreads through the lower decks, twisting human life into something grotesque and inhuman.
As old certainties crumble and panic spreads across the vessel, humanity finds itself trapped between a ruthless artificial god and an ancient lifeform with its own terrifying agenda.
The Horror on Sanctuary combines cosmic dread, religious fanaticism, and body horror against the backdrop of a dying generation ship. It’s a story about faith, power, and the monsters we create to protect ourselves.
Available Now on Audible.
