Bone-chilling horror The Stranger set for digital release

Meet The Stranger in Paul Gerrard and Mike Clarke’s (A Light Through Coloured Glass, Semolina Pilchard) feature debut – a thrilling home invasion horror with a supernatural twist.

Damien Ashley (Semolina Pilchard) brings a truly sinister performance to the screen, starring alongside British acting talent Jennifer K. Preston (The Wheel of Time, Hosts) and Isabella Percival (He Kills at Night). Following its acclaimed festival run and winning Grimmfest’s Work in Progress Award, The Stranger makes its highly anticipated arrival on UK digital on 14 September, courtesy of Trinity Content Partners.

When her husband is murdered in a house robbery that goes horribly wrong, Amanda (Preston) and her daughter Karli (Percival) move to an isolated bed and breakfast deep in the British countryside. But their peaceful new life is soon interrupted by the arrival of a mysterious-yet-enigmatic stranger, Kyle (Ashley), who initially asks to stay the night, then his story starts to change, and it soon becomes apparent that he isn’t who he says he is.

As the days go by, Kyle becomes more reluctant to leave, with Amanda and Karli growing increasingly concerned about their guest’s bizarre behaviour and their own safety. Things take a twisted turn when he confesses that he is being hunted by a group of supernatural killers, but is he telling the truth or is it all an elaborate scam?

Part family drama, part horror-thriller, with a creature feature twist, The Stranger is a tense and atmospheric spine-chiller that will stay with you long after the credits roll.

The Stranger arrives on digital platforms on 14 September 2026 from Trinity Content Partners.
