New survival horror game Still in the Fog hits Steam

Brand-new survival horror game Still In The Fog has been released on Steam.

What seemed like a fresh start soon turns into something much darker. As personal struggles grow and reality begins to feel unstable, Nicolás finds himself trapped in a town that no longer makes sense.

After a mysterious event causes the entire town to vanish, Nicolás is forced to descend into an impossible underground structure. There, he discovers a massive abandoned complex shrouded in darkness, filled with hostile creatures and disturbing signs that something is very wrong. With no clear way out, the player must explore the environment, solve strategic puzzles, and survive while trying to progress.

The town is no longer the place he knew. The streets are blanketed in dense fog. Most of the population has disappeared without explanation. Communications are down. The world feels abandoned and disconnected from reality.

Determined to understand what happened, Nicolás continues seeking answers while trying to find a way back home. Along the way, he encounters his ex-girlfriend Ana and other survivors who were also trapped during the event.

As the journey goes on, Nicolás starts to feel that getting out is becoming harder and harder.

Still in the Fog is the debut project from Juan Pierozzi, a solo developer who decided to change paths in life to chase a dream he’d had since childhood: making video games.

After studying Systems Information and coming within just one exam of graduating as a Math Teacher, Juan realised his true passion wasn’t standing in front of a classroom—it was bringing his own interactive stories to life. Looking for something he was genuinely passionate about, he took on the challenge of learning game development completely from scratch.

Even though it felt like an impossible goal at first, Juan found Unreal Engine 5 and its Blueprint visual scripting system. Relying on the solid logic he built during his years studying math and systems, he took a course and dove headfirst into making his own game.

Development took two full years of intense, trial-and-error self-teaching. Between late nights hunting down technical fixes and small daily wins, all the pieces—the programming, the combat, and the story—finally clicked together.

“I’ve been passionate about games since I was a kid and always dreamed of making one, but it felt almost impossible. When I finally decided to give it a shot, I knew very little about engines or how to bring an idea to life. It was a constant learning process as I went, with plenty of tough moments where nothing worked, but seeing my very first game finished after two years of work makes me insanely proud.”
