Haunted House FearFest (HHFF), a virtual independent horror film and video game festival owned by Renee Huff and produced by Looks Creepy Cool Studios, today announced A Taste of the Creepy Kitchen, a special three-day virtual advance screening taking place July 31 – August 2, 2026 on Eventive.
Designed as an appetizer before the full festival experience this fall, A Taste of the Creepy Kitchen will showcase five official horror film selections, giving audiences an exclusive opportunity to discover rising horror voices from around the world before Haunted House FearFest officially opens its doors this October. As submissions remain open, additional official film selections will continue to be announced throughout the festival season.
While A Taste of the Creepy Kitchen offers audiences an early serving of this year’s official horror film selections, it also opens the door to The Basement, Haunted House FearFest’s new online destination celebrating official indie horror game selections. At launch, visitors will discover featured game demos, full game releases, developer spotlights, trailers, and direct links to each game’s individual Steam page. As submissions remain open, additional official game selections will continue to be added throughout the festival season, culminating in Haunted House FearFest’s dedicated Steam event page, where horror fans can explore the festival’s complete lineup of official game selections throughout October.

At Haunted House FearFest, every room tells a different story. The Creepy Kitchen celebrates independent horror films, while The Basement showcases innovative indie horror games, bringing filmmakers, game developers, and horror fans together under one roof through immersive online programming.
Following the advance screening, Haunted House FearFest returns October 6 – October 31, 2026, featuring official film selections, indie horror games, filmmaker interviews, creator spotlights, livestreams, and special programming celebrating independent horror from around the world. The festival will conclude with the Haunted House FearFest Awards Ceremony, streaming live on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 8:00 PM ET.
