Scream Descent is currently on Ko-Fi, though a Kickstarter campaign is set to launch later this month with a target of $2,000 to finish up the film’s shooting, as the crew are over halfway through filming.
Director Kameron Gaxiola commented,

Beneath the violence and mystery, Scream has always explored fear, trauma, survival, and the complicated relationships between people. That emotional truth became the foundation of this film.
From the beginning, the goal was never to simply recreate what came before, but to create something that feels authentic to the spirit of Scream while offering a distinct voice of its own. We wanted to honor what makes the franchise so enduring: sharp tension, compelling characters, self-awareness, and suspense that feels both brutal and deeply personal.
At its core, SCREAM DESCENT explores fear, vulnerability, and the emotional weight of survival. Horror is at its most effective when it feels grounded in real emotion, and that philosophy guided every creative decision throughout the filmmaking process.
