Terrifying J-horror The Curse, is set for release on digital platforms on 13 July 2026 from Blue Finch Film Releasing.
In this terrifying homage to J-horror classics including Ringu and Ju-on, young Tokyo receptionist Riko decides to investigate her friend’s violent death. Convinced there is more to the story than suicide, she delves through social media into a world of memes and influencers looking for answers.
As the pile of bodies grows, Riko and her friends travel to Taiwan to uncover the source of this supernatural curse before she is consumed by it.
From director Kenichi Ugana, The Curse had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest 2025, where it won the ‘Best Kill’ award, and its UK premiere at FrightFest Glasgow.
The Curse is on UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand digital platforms 13 July
