Former Studio 54 DJ Rockin’ Ronnie has joined the cast of Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light, the upcoming paranormal found-footage horror instalment aiming to reintroduce the long-running franchise with a more grounded, atmospheric approach.
Ronnie joins a cast that includes Andrew Pierson (Witchcraft: The Initiation, A Soldier’s Descent, Return of the Living Dead: Trash’s Revenge) and Kristina Lafser (A Soldier’s Descent, The Last Sleepover).
The film centres on a paranormal investigation team documenting the legend of The Children of the Hollow, a pagan cult rooted in North Carolina folklore, as their search for answers leads them into increasingly dangerous territory.
Best known for his work during the height of Studio 54’s cultural influence, Rockin’ Ronnie’s casting marks an unconventional addition to the project. While details of his role remain under wraps, his involvement underscores the production’s interest in blending distinct personalities with a character-driven horror narrative.
Director Carissa Pierson said, “Rockin’ Ronnie brings a presence you can’t manufacture. There’s a lived-in authenticity to him that immediately adds texture to the world we’re building. The Lanterne of Light is about atmosphere, about history bleeding into the present—and his energy fits right into that.”
Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light is currently in development, with additional casting announcements expected in the coming weeks.
