Often personal demons can be the undoing of a person.
Whether this is stress related, a poor work environment, sleep deprivation or all of the above; once those demons take hold they can be hard to shake.
Maude Michaud’s short The Monster Inside My Head, deals with this sort of narrative but gives it a more manifested, horrific element.
What we see is a woman desperate to shake this demon, that simply won’t let her do anything without it being in control.
At one point it literally has strings in her back and is playing her like a puppet master.
I feel this message of this short was learning to live with your demons and accept them.
