Soho Horror Fest Extends ‘Shockdown Saturdays’

Organisers of the Soho Horror Film Festival have announced an extension to their Shockdown Saturdays series of virtual film screenings.

Starting on 3rd April they will screen the following –

Precarious – Henry (Andrey Pfening) travels to a small town to run an errand for his rock collector father. The task quickly grows into a sprawling adventure that catches the attention of the wealthy heiress Ruby (Juliana Frick) and the ambitious newspaper reporter Clark (Dashiell Hillman) in a completely hand built, re-imagined 1960s dark fairy tale.

El Cerro De Los Dioses – A reimagining of the myth of Faust, in which a documentary director and her producer investigate a number of celebrities.

The following week on 10th April they will screen –

Bright Hill Road – When a misstep after a workplace shooting puts alcoholic Marcy on leave, she heads out to see her sister in California. Halfway there, she stops for a couple of days at the Bright Hill Road Boarding House. The walls close in on the deeply troubled Marcy, as she loses touch with reality and comes face to face with the misdeeds of her sordid past.

Cyst – In the 1960s a nurse’s last day is ruined when a doctor inadvertently creates a cyst monster that terrorizes the office.

On 17th April they will screen –

Leni – Recurring nightmares and the aftermath of a violent break-up have put Leni on edge. As she desperately seeks to regain her sanity she must confront her monsters in order to unravel the trauma of a past she doesn’t seem to fully remember.

A Little More Flesh Part II

Plus a panel from Ghouls Magazine.

The final event on 24th April will screen the following –

Variant -When an artist struggling for purpose meets a mysterious yet charming stranger, she becomes entangled in his twisted attempts to ‘relive the perfect moment’.

Skyman – The story of Carl Merryweather who believes he experienced an alien encounter at 10-years-old and is now trying to reconnect with the UFO at the same location.

Sister Tempest – Anne Hutchinson’s troubled relationship with her missing sister is under alien tribunal. Meanwhile, her new roommate’s mysterious illness causes her to go on a cannibalistic killing spree.

Useless Humans – A thirtieth birthday and the survival of mankind are left hanging in the balance after a mysterious creature crashes a party, forcing four childhood friends to save the night.
