Continuing for our Christmas horror coverage, Bloody Flicks caught up with ‘Red Christmas’ director Craig Anderson who shares his Christmas horror Top 5 –
- Black Christmas
A slasher before slashers. This would have to be one of my favourite horror films ever. I’m still shocked with the severity of language that Billy uses on the phone and love the cast.
This was the first Christmas Horror I ever saw. I saw it in cinemas with my grandma, way too young and it has haunted me ever since.
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
Like a German expressionist dream, with Elfman and Burton doing what they do best. I had always loved the Rankin/Bass films (Mad Monster Party anyone?) and this took it to new heights.
- Red Christmas
Yeah, so I made a Christmas Horror, and I figure, if I spent two years of my live working on it for free, then I must like it. Pretty sure lots of people don’t like it, but I loved bringing back an abortion survivor to meet its family on Christmas day. LOL.
- Silent Night Deadly Night
This film is madness, it’s as fun to watch as The Room, but with Christmas and slasher tropes.
Watch ‘Red Christmas’ now on Amazon Prime.
