The organisers of the Soho Horror Film Festival have announced a selection of their lineup for a digital edition set to take place between 6th and 8th November 2020.
So far the lineup includes –
The Returned (Los Que Vuelven) – South America, 1919. At a magical spot by an impressive waterfall, landowner’s wife Julia sends up a prayer to Iguazú, the mythical mother of day and night. Julia’s servant has warned her that, according to the indigenous people, this is strictly forbidden. She does it anyway, and Julia’s stillborn son comes back to life – but he’s not the only entity to return. The price to be paid is high, and upends two worlds: on the one hand that of the European conquerors and their priest, and on the other that of the exploited and massacred Guaraní.
Re-Elected – Deep in the woods on the 4th of July, siblings Nate and Angela must face off against the zombies of American presidents, and their worst nightmare — spending an entire evening together.
Medusa: Queen of Serpents – After being bitten by a snake a young ladies life begins to take a sharp turn for the worst as a deadly virus plagues her body.
Survival Skills – Survival Skills is a lost training video from the 1980s. In it, Jim, the perfect policeman, gets in over his head when he tries to resolve a domestic violence case outside the law.
Danni and the Vampire – A madcap drifter tries to reignite a special feeling from her past by helping a vampire achieve his dreams.
Death to Metal – After a freak accident, a disturbed priest is transformed into a mutated killing machine on a mission to wipe out the godless fans of heavy metal music.
Bad Candy – Halloween DJ’s Chilly Billy and Paul spin a bloody and twisted version of this small town’s craziest Halloween Happenings.
