Scare parks are now commonplace as part of the Halloween celebrations all over the world (especially in America).
So we come to Hell House LLC where a group of friends takes over a supposedly haunted hotel where the previous owner killed himself.
In the lead up to its opening the group decides to film putting the scares together readily and of course, things start to turn deadly.
Taking tropes from the Paranormal Activity series we start off after carnage takes place at Hell House through one of the crews being interviewed by local authorities.
There are some genuinely chilling moments here although some of the scares are slightly telegraphed and slowed down to ensure we don’t miss them.
As we’ve seen recently with The Haunting of Hill House scares work effectively when done subtly which Hell House sometimes misses the trick on.
We have a few plot gaps that will no doubt be explored in the sequel and upcoming third film coming from Shudder.
Hell House LLC is still streets ahead of the majority of found footage horror films with some great scares and certainly leaves us wanting more.
