News broke yesterday from Collider.com that Blumhouse’s proposed sequel to Halloween (2018) is set to go into production later this year.
Sources say that Jamie Lee Curtis, Judi Greer and Andi Matichak have all been approached about returning alongside Writer/Director David Gordon Green.
Rumours have circulated for a couple of weeks on social media after Blumhouse owner Jason Blum tweeted about meeting with Jamie Lee Curtis, to we suspect talk money and what it would take to get her back.
John Carpenter has also stated he would be interested in returning to score the sequel if the timing (and we guess the money) was right.
One name omitted from the long line of possible returnees was the Shape himself James Jude Courtney. Although the 2018 sequel was very much a Curtis vehicle it was JCC for many who stole the show as one of the most menacing incarnations of Michael Myers put to screen.
Coupled with some stunning work from Christopher Nelson on an older looking replica of the 1978 mask and the passing of the torch from original Shape Nick Castle and we had a Myers for the ages.
Hopefully as more news circulates about the sequel Courtney will be given the chance to reprise the role, making him the fourth actor/stuntman to play the role twice behind Castle, George Wilbur and Tyler Mane.

Halloween 2020 has a tentative release date of 16th October 2020.
