Brit Sci Fi Thriller ‘White Chamber’ Available on Now VOD

New British sci-fi thriller, WHITE CHAMBER is available now on Video On Demand platforms in UK and Ireland.

Directed by Paul Raschid and produced by Aviary Films, the film stars Shauna Macdonald (The Descent, TV’s In Plain Sight)), Oded Fehr (The Mummy, Resident Evil, TV’s Young Justice), Amrita Acharia (Game Of Thrones, The Good Karma Hospital), and Nicholas Farrell (Chariots of Fire, TV’s Midsommer Murders, Will).

Set in the near future, socio-economic tensions in Britain, ignited by Brexit and the Trump presidency, have created a febrile atmosphere in which xenophobia, self-interest, greed and fascism flourished, leading to a back-lash and the country is in the midst of a civil war as the State battles rebel militia for power.

A young woman, Ruth wakes up in a blindingly white cuboid room: the White Chamber. A gruff male voice from the outside demands information about the chamber and the laboratory that houses it, but she has none. To gain the answers he seeks, her captor utilises the gruesome functionality of the cuboid as an instrument of torture. Seemingly, she strives to is she just saying anything to survive or does she know more about the forbidding White Chamber than she is letting on?

The film played at Edinburgh International Film Festival and FrightFest with Shauna Macdonald’s role winning BAFTA Scotland best actress award. Twenty-six year old British-Asian director Paul Raschid’s next project is the newly announced The Complex, starring Michelle Mylett and Kate Dickie.

WHITE CHAMBER is available on VOD platforms in UK and Ireland including Amazon ( UK only). Google Play, iTunes, Microsoft Movies & TV, and PlayStation.
