For those of us old enough to remember Melissa Joan Hart and her talking cat, the news of a Sabrina reboot was pretty much met with a shrug of the shoulders.
With a promise to take the premise in a darker direction the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina debuted its first trailer earlier today.
With Kiernan Shipka (Madmen) in the title role, the show has been described as a mix of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist.
It will see Sabrina being hunted by the demonic Madam Satan and the Church of Night’s high priest Father Blackwood, all while trying to be a normal high schooler.
Netflix executives must have a degree of faith in their product as a second season has already been greenlit. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina debuts on Netflix on 26th October, just in time for Halloween.
