New Jersey-based film distributor BayView Entertainment, Inc., have released the psychological thriller/horror film Velvicide from 30-time award-winner Kenneth Perkins.
When Velvet agrees to recount her abduction for a true-crime documentary, the story she tells doesn’t match the facts. As her confession deepens, the crew begins to realize her version of events isn’t just retelling the past—it’s rewriting it. What starts as a survivor’s interview turns into a deadly mind game where every word is a weapon.
Kenneth Perkins, Writer/Director, commented,
“In the beginning, I made Velvicide as a stepping stone to bigger films, but it became something far more personal. The cast and crew brought it to life in ways I could have never expected, and as my debut feature, it marks both where I started and who I’m becoming as a filmmaker.”
Kenneth Perkins has made several short films since 2021 and Velvicide is his first delve into feature length movies. Velvicide explores the harrowing blurred lines between trauma and survival. The film follows the character Velvet Stevens as she is forced to recount the chilling details of her own abduction, leading to the haunting question: Is she the victim or the victor?
Velvicide is now available for rent and purchase from finer streaming platforms worldwide including to rent/buy on Amazon Prime Video.
