The action set pieces feel bigger and more ludicrous this time around, with planes and tanks plus countless weapons and ingenuinity.
Jorma Tomilla is once again the stand-out performance as the notorious ‘man who wouldn’t die’, but it feels like he has an adversary worthy of his creativity, in the form of Stephen Lang’s Red Army Commander.
What Sisu and Road to Revenge become is one big and bloody story that fits together so well, which is credit to returning director Jalmari Helander.
Road to Revenge is effectively a chase movie, in the vein of Mad Max: Fury Road, but this caters for the B movie fans out there too. It’s a rollicking time from start to finish, and will have you begging for them to mine out another idea for Sisu 3.
