Ahead of its UK release, Grimmfest will be hosting an exclusive screening of Johannes Roberts’ Primate on Friday 23 January at Odeon Great Northern, Manchester.
This suspenseful horror movie follows a group of friends’ tropical vacation as it turns into a terrifying, primal tale of horror and survival. The cause? A beloved family pet, Ben, has violently turned against them.

The official UK cinema release date for PRIMATE, directed by Johannes Roberts, is Friday 30th January 2026, distributed by Paramount Pictures and starring Johnny Sequoyah and Troy Kotsur and Jessica Alexander, Victoria Wyant, Gia Hunter, Benjamin Cheng, Charlie Mann and Tienne Simon.
