Brit slasher The Blade Cuts Deeper released

BRITISH slasher The Blade Cuts Deeper has been released on DVD and streaming platforms, including Prime Video, across North America, the UK and Ireland.

Described as a ‘blood-soaked love letter to giallo cinema’, Blade… tells the uncompromising tale of a narcissistic TV host who exploits real-life tragedies – until a grieving victim seeks revenge.

Void Signal, a new premium label dedicated to horror and genre films that launched recently in partnership with Alliance Home Entertainment, is behind the release along with New Zealand’s Black Mandala.

Already nominated for a gong at the National Film Awards in July before being voted Best Film at the Phantasmagoria Horror Film Festival, it’s a landmark moment for Blade’s director Gene Dolders and his team, who put the slasher flick together on a shoestring budget.

He said: ‘I’ve made a movie that I want to watch. It’s not for everyone but there are those out there who will dig it, too.

‘I’m very proud of what we have all achieved on such a low budget and the attention the movie has received has been a wonderful surprise to us all.’
