Arrow announces January 2026 releases

Arrow Video has its January physical media releases, including Snakes on a Plane.

This January, everybody strap in, as Snakes on a Plane is released on Limited Edition 4K UHD and Limited Edition Blu-ray. A viral sensation before it even finished shooting, Snakes on a Plane was one of the first major Hollywood films shaped as much by internet buzz as by studio edict. Stuntman-turned-director David R. Ellis (Final Destination 2) delivers a delirious high-concept thriller, starring Samuel L. Jackson (Deep Blue Sea), that gleefully melds the disaster movie with creature-feature excess. Outrageous, shamelessly entertaining, and featuring one of the most quotable lines in cinema history, Snakes on a Plane is an instant cult classic that more than earns its reputation as one of Hollywood’s craziest action-disaster movies. With a brand new director approved 4K restoration of the film by Arrow Films, a brand new commentary, interviews and a collectors’ booklet, this is a release you won’t want to hiss, erm, miss.

January continues with The Assassination Bureau on Limited Edition Blu-ray. Anarchy reigns as Diana Rigg and Oliver Reed go head to head in a blackly comic caper that plays out against the colourful backdrop of Europe on the cusp of World War One. Based on an unfinished novel by Jack London published posthumously in 1963, The Assassination Bureau is shot in glorious Technicolor by Geoffrey Unsworth (2001: A Space Odyssey), and is the penultimate work from the esteemed directing-producing team of Basil Dearden and Michael Relph (Sapphire, Victim). A rip-roaring slice of Edwardian-set action-adventure fashioned with the same Swinging-Sixties blend of irony, stylishness and humour as The Avengers and the James Bond films, the Limited Edition UK Blu-ray debut comes with a collectors’ booklet and reversible sleeve.

Then in January, saddle up for City Slickers on Limited Edition Blu-ray, the hilarious, heartfelt modern comedy western that became one of the most beloved films of the 1990s. From director Ron Underwood (Tremors), and starring Billy Crystal, Bruno Kirby and Daniel Stern, City Slickers blends sharp comedy with heartfelt reflections on friendship in a moving homage to the spirit of the Western. It’s packed with unforgettable performances (including an Oscar-winning turn from the legendary Jack Palance), sweeping scenery, and big laughs, while the release has two saddle bags worth of extras, including newly filmed interviews, featurettes and deleted scenes.

Also in January Huesera: The Bone Woman on Limited Edition Blu-ray, a visceral blend of body-horror and psychological thriller rooted in Mexican folklore. A compelling exploration of the fears and expectations of motherhood, director Michelle Garza Cervera masterfully blends psychological terror with raw emotion, crafting a gripping tale of identity, sacrifice, and the unseen forces haunting domestic life. Huesera: The Bone Woman expertly uses haunting imagery and bone snapping tension to question the cost of rigid societal expectations, resulting in a masterwork of atmosphere and suspense. With a brand new audio commentary, a brand new video essay, the release includes a reversible sleeve and collectors’ booklet.

Finally in January, Under Siege on Limited Edition 4K UHD and Limited Edition Blu-ray, where action icon Steven Seagal serves up his signature brand of bone-crunching justice in the ultimate 90s action spectacle from director Andrew Davis (The Fugitive), co-starring Tommy Lee Jones (Black Moon Rising) and Gary Busey (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) at their most unhinged. Packed with explosions, knife fights, and more one-liners than you can count, Under Siege is a gloriously over-the-top blast of 1990s action, now available in a stunning new director-approved restoration that packs a hell of a punch. With a brand new director’s commentary and a boatload of newly-filmed interviews, this release is a chef’s kiss!
