Dead Talents Society gets digital release

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has released new horror comedy Dead Talents Society on digital platforms.

Being a person is hard enough, but it turns out being a ghost is not easy, either. Newbie, a ghost, realizes to her horror that she has just 28 days until her spirit will dissipate from the world.

Makoto, a demon agent who appears to be a scammer, approaches the Newbie with a proposition for her to join has-been demon star, Catherine, in reconstructing the legendary horror story of the Wang Lai Hotel.

The Newbie learns that ghosts in the Netherworld are as occupied with work as the living: without the talent of terrorizing people, ghosts cannot continue existing in the world—life does not end after death.

Not being forgotten becomes a ghosts’ final conviction. But as long as you have talent in terrorization, you will be seen!

Blending comedy and horror with moments of tenderness, DEAD TALENT’S SOCIETY reimagines ghost stories as a sharp, genre-bending satire of fame and the fear of being forgotten.

DEAD TALENTS SOCIETY is directed by John Hsu and stars Sandrine Pinna (Touch of the LightLegend of the Demon Cat), Bo-lin Chen (Blue Gate CrossingBuddha Mountain) and Gingle Wang (Detention).

DEAD TALENTS SOCIETY is available to Buy or Rent on Digital now, courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
