I Know Catherine, The Log Lady doc released on digital

 Its 1990 and acclaimed film, TV and stage actor Catherine Coulson is an international cult sensation in the ground-breaking US TV series, Twin Peaks, playing the enchanting and mysterious Log Lady.

In 2014 her lifelong friend director David Lynch announces a new season of the surrealist show but within weeks Catherine is diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Can she live long enough to play the iconic Log Lady one last time? Celebrated actors, producers, directors, writers, cinematographers, family and friends all came together at her death bed to help her play her most iconic role one last time. Why? Why must the show go on?

I KNOW CATHERINE, THE LOG LADY is the touching true story of the inspiring death and life of Catherine E. Coulson and explores her personal journey, career, and the deep connection she shared with her most famous character. Through interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and reflections from those who worked with her – including David Lynch and Kyle MacLachlan – the movie highlights Coulson’s unique talent, her love for acting, and the lasting impact of the Log Lady on fans and the world of television.

The movie also features prize winning playwrights Robert Schenkkan and Lisa Loomer, acclaimed directors Bill Rauch, Jenny Sullivan, Nicolas Meyer and Timothy Near, actors Grace Zabriskie, Michael Horse and many more, and is directed by Richard Green of Next Step Studio.
 

Premiering in the UK at A Gathering of the Angels – a tribute and celebration of the world of David Lynch – on 27th to 28th September at Genesis Cinema, London, E1, I KNOW CATHERINE, THE LOG LADY is available to stream now.
