A man returns to the idyllic beach of his childhood to surf with his son, but is humiliated by a group of powerful locals and drawn into a conflict that rises with the punishing heat of the summer and pushes him right to his breaking point.
An entertaining, stylistic and psychologically unsettling piece of pulp cinema, THE SURFER, has been thrilling audiences since its premiere in the Midnight Screenings section at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.

The film recently stormed the box office, with close to a quarter of a million pounds in ticket sales, supported by some grassroots activity including an electric Nicolas Cage lookalike contest outside the Prince Charles Cinema, and an eye-catching tour of London with our very own sun-soaked Surfers.
The Surfer is released on digital platforms on 23 June 2025 and set to stream on Sky from September 2025.
