Don’t get it twisted, this ain’t no Disney delight – I Heart Willie brings a dark origin to the animation that launched an empire.
From the murky minds of writer and star David Vaughn (Copshop, American Rust) and director Alejandro G. Alegre (They Were Witches, The Devil Told Me What to Do), comes award-winning horror I Heart Willie, set to arrive on UK digital 23 June courtesy of Reel 2 Reel Films.
When popular influencers Daniel and Nico receive an invitation to investigate the legend of Steamboat Willie – a boy born with deformities that have left him resembling a human/mouse hybrid, which supposedly inspired Disney’s pioneering animation – they’re intrigued and decide to take up the challenge.
Believing Willie to be an urban legend – that says he kills and crafts a bodysuit from the skins of those who cross his path – the daring YouTubers are about to find out the unimaginable truth.
As the pair set up for a night, ready to film their findings of chills and thrills, they unwittingly enter Willie’s clubhouse – a place of horror, where sadistic torture and mayhem awaits them.
There’s nothing timid about this murderous mouse… so show some love for I Heart Willie.
