GASP! is back for its third year with over 50 short films and 9 feature-length films, including the yearly Mystery Queer Classic!
This year, GASP! returns to Cultplex for another three-day celebration of diversity within genre cinema, with some of their many highlights being a double bill of brand new over-the-top splatter films, a 30th anniversary screening of the important yet rarely screened anthology horror masterpiece, Tales from the Hood, a restoration premiere for Kaizô Hayashi’s The Most Terrible Time in My Life which is receiving its first-ever physical media release in the UK later this year by Third Window Films, the brand new fourth Short Film Showcase, which focuses entirely on shorts from around the world, Aurélia Mengin‘s thought-provoking and incredibly stylish Scarlet Blue, and Pedro Kos’ exciting new found footage horror film, In Our Blood, a film produced by Morgan Freeman and Duncan Jones that brings a fresh and unpredictable new take on the subgenre!
As with every year, GASP! is here to celebrate the diversity we all know is present with genre cinema by bringing you a range of the latest short and feature-length horror, sci-fi, fantasy, and thriller films from people of colour, women, people with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
The third year of GASP! will take place at Cultplex in Manchester on 27, 28 and 29 June 2025.
