Skelly tells the story of a young boy dealing with grief after the death of his grandfather which triggers an obsession with mortality as he and his friends put together the annual haunted house. The film explores the complexities of grief from a child’s point of view and the humor of family dynamics. Skelly is directed and written by Matt Greene-Delanghe and produced by Jason Armstrong, Rob Goodrich, and Ellyn Vander Wyden.
Matt Greene-DeLanghe grew up in Western Massachusetts. He wrote his first feature-length screenplay based on a childhood experience of making a haunted house with his friends each Halloween in 2015. Years later Matt took on directing the film and attracted Hollywood star Brian Cox (Succession, Adaptation) in the role of Grandfather. The film also stars Judah Abner Paul (61st St), John Palladino (Orange is the New Black), Torrey DeVitto (Chicago Med), and Andy Comeau (NCIS).
