Never Hike Alone fans, get ready! Womp Stomp Films is thrilled to announce the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for Never Hike Alone: The Final Cut, an extended, remastered edition of the fan-favorite Friday the 13th fan film.
The campaign, which went live on Friday the 13th of September, has already crossed 60% of its goal while offering fans exclusive access to limited-edition merchandise, behind-the-scenes content, and, most importantly, a chance to see the story of the Never Hike Alone saga as it has never been seen before.
Never Hike Alone began as a tribute to the iconic Friday the 13th series, but quickly became a fan phenomenon, lauded for its high production quality and gripping storytelling. With this final cut, Womp Stomp Films will combine Never Hike Alone, Disappear, Never Hike in the Snow, and Never Hike Alone 2 into one cohesive experience.
“We’ve had an amazing journey creating the Never Hike series, and this final cut is our love letter to all the fans who have supported us along the way,” said Vincente DiSanti, creator of Never Hike Alone. “This is our chance to give fans the ultimate version of this story.”
About the Kickstarter Campaign
Fans who back the campaign will have the chance to score exclusive perks, including:
- Limited Edition Blu-Ray/VHS Copies
- Collector’s Edition Poster, Pins, and Apparel
- Signed Screen Used Props from the film
- A chance for backers to be in the film
With a funding goal of $50,000, the campaign will support the post-production process, including final editing, color correction, sound design, visual effects, and physical media production, and other rewards.
If the campaign reaches a goal of $100,000 Womp Stomp Films intends to partner with Mako Animation to complete production on their animated Friday the 13th fan film Ghosts in the Fog. If successful, the seven-minute short film will be added as a bonus feature on The Final Cut Blu-rays, VHS tapes, and digital downloads.
