Confluential Films announces new cast members for new horror Goons

Confluential Films is spooked to announce the second wave of cast members for its highly anticipated horror film, Goons. Joining the cast are acclaimed rapper YG, J. Alphonse Nicholson (P-Valley), Serayah McNeill (Empire), SteVonté Hart (Bel-Air), and Tyler Lepley (Harlem).

They will join previously announced cast members Chloe Bailey and Michael Rainey Jr., bringing together a dynamic ensemble for what promises to be an exciting entry into the horror genre.

Production already is under way in New Orleans and surrounding areas.

Goons marks the first film to be produced under Confluential Films’ newly launched horror genre label, New Fear Unlocked Productions. Directed by Gerard McMurray, who also co-wrote the film with Hodge K. Johnson, Goons is set in Louisiana and offers a fresh and terrifying exploration of horror. Tommy Oliver is producing.

Director Gerard McMurray expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “YG, J. Alphonse, Serayah, SteVonté and Tyler all bring their own unique flavour to this amazing recipe we are cooking up on Goons here in my hometown of New Orleans. I can’t wait for the world to see what we are putting together with this young, gifted cast.”

Goons is produced and fully financed by Confluential Films through its brand new genre label, New Fear Unlocked Productions, which is dedicated to bold, elevated, culturally specific horror films from creators of color.

While specific plot details of the film are being kept under wraps, Goons will be set in the eerie backdrop of Louisiana cane fields and plantations. New Fear Unlocked Productions is producing in association with McMurray’s Buppie Productions.
