If you saw one of last year’s breakout found footage horrors The Outwaters, you may be aware that filmmaker Robbie Banfitch has expanded this universe with two shorts, the first being Card Zero.
Before his disappearance in the Mojave desert, this video diary gives you more about Robbie’s life and background.
It is pitched as police evidence collected from a memory card, hence the title.
While besotted with his partner Robbie is also taking sleeping pills alluding to wider issues surrounding his mental health. At times this is quite a poignant short, especially given where The Outwaters ends up, this only endears us to the characters more.
Card Zero does some world building which will only enhance future viewing experiences of The Outwaters and the world Banfitch is building.
