Crowdfunder launched for horror-comedy A Corpse in Kensington

A crowdfunding campaign has been launched for new horror-comedy, A Corpse in Kensington.

With appearances from Michael Madsen (Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, The Hateful Eight), Ryan Bollman (Children of the Corn II, The NeverEnding Story III, iCarly) and starring Derrick Acosta (Mega64), this is a uniquely dark and personal film from writer/director Brian Patrick Butler (Friend of the World, Hemet or The Landlady Don’t Drink Tea).

The film follows a wistful loner who is reunited with his childhood crush ten years after graduating high school. Though her erratic boyfriend seems to be getting in the way of his second chance, the three encounter bigger problems when they find themselves entangled with a killer who is either a paranormal entity or one of them hiding in plain sight.

A relatable story about unrequited love, with sweeping explosions of genre extremes and cinematic violence that punctuate the very real theme of heartbreak at its core. A revealing diary entry mixing tragicomedy and horror, this is a story that digs into the hearts of its characters before pitting them against horrific danger and – even more excruciating – their feelings for each other.

The script combines sick and thrilling twists and is set in Kensington, San Diego.
