Amygdala (Panic Fest 2024) review

Moving to a new home can be quite difficult.

The adjustment can be challenging, especially for smaller families.

Short ‘Amygdala’ focuses on the relationship between a mother and daughter after moving to a new house, which may have more going on than previously assumed.

Shot in black and white, Amygdala has a vibe all its own, with a haunting score only backing up some striking visuals.

This is very much a slow burn, mood piece if you will. Its aim is to haunt you rather than make you jump or resort to cheap scares.

Amygdala has shots that will stay with you.

Amygdala screened as part of Panic Fest 2024.
