We’ve all seen enough Saw films to know this is bad. Couple this with the fact our voice man is wearing a very creepy and distorted mask plucked from a slasher film, and its double bad news
In Jake Barcus’ micro short Type A, goes straight for the jugular straight away, creating an imminent sense of danger for our protagonist.
There is a level of awareness here too, as Barcus has clearly done his homework and looks to subvert some tropes.
Type A is sinister but also carries a degree of dark humour, making a short and sharp watch.
