The second film in the Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey series is set for limited release this weekend, and it’s reported that part 3 is already on the way.
Jagged Edge Productions, who have overseen the first two films have confirmed the third film to Variety, with plans already in place for a Poohniverse, featuring several different fairytale characters including Pinnochio, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, The Mad Hatter, and Sleeping Beauty.
The first film was made on a small budget of $50,000 but partially due to its inspired marketing campaign, turned into box office gold pocketing $5.2 million, guaranteeing a sequel almost immediately and it seems that history will repeat itself despite Blood and Honey 2 only just being released.
Reviews have largely been more positive for the sequel, with some critics claiming a simpler plot and an increased budget have made Blood and Honey 2 a better film all-round.
