Tight is the latest in a series of shorts by Jessica Barr which explore womens’ perspectives on life, but none have been as extreme as this.
In this movie a wife (Fabianne Therese), who has recently had a baby, discovers the sinister reason why sex with her husband (Elliott Gross) has suddenly become very painful, and uses her comfort habit of wrapping objects in saran wrap to exact her revenge.
This is a simply told story of a woman, in a rather dissociative state following giving birth, struggling to make sense of her feelings, and then finding out that her husband’s control has extended in a way she didn’t think possible. For all of its brief running time it’s a very disturbing watch.
