Finally in May, Bob Hoskins is Harold Shand in The Long Good Friday, universally regarded as one of the greatest gangster films ever made. The film rocketed Hoskins to international stardom, and features sterling support from Helen Mirren (Excalibur), Paul Freeman (Raiders of the Lost Ark) and Derek Thompson (Casualty), and there’s even an early appearance from future James Bond Pierce Brosnan.
