Today (Friday 16 February), sees the return of the extremely popular podcast Casualty Friday, featuring genre icons Felissa Rose, Kane Hodder and Tiffany Shepis.
We caught up with Tiffany to spill the beans on what you can expect this season –
Can you tell us what the driving force was for bringing back Casualty Friday?
Fans and friends kept asking for it. We LOVE recording Casualty Friday and really only stopped because recording for us during the pandemic became difficult. We weren’t filming and didn’t feel like we had a lot of new stuff to add. Well, now we do! And we are back!!
Can you speak about the relationship between yourself, Felissa and Kane?
I’ve known Kane and Felissa for years. Not just friends, co-workers and convention neighbours but really more like a family. When we were approached by Producer Matt Maniourides to do a show together, there was no doubt it would work.
What can we expect from the new series?
The new series will be the same…but better!
More guests, more live shows, more chances to win unique horror prizes and even chances for fans to be on the show. Think the Howard Stern of Horror.
The horror podcasting world is quite stacked right now, why does Casualty Friday stand out from the crowd?
Horror actors are unique in away that other genre people aren’t. We are “popular” but still can walk down the street and just be a normal person. It’s more like being a working character actor. So you sort of get an inside look at the genre. From the perspective of the Killer, the final girl, and the scream Queen.
Without spoilers, can we expect some special guests too?
LOTS of cool guests. Also, special guest hosts and a recurring cast of weirdos.
You all got to feature in Victor Crowley in 2017, are there any plans for you to all work together again on a horror film?
100%. Word on the street is producer Micheal Varrati is writing a Casualty Friday movie as we speak. Spoiler —-we are definitely killing Kane first!
