Black Mirror-esque short set for Omeleto

After a very successful film festival run, LIKENESS is having its online premiere Monday, February 26th on the YouTube channel, Omeleto.

LIKENESS is about a young woman, who works with an AI version of her mom to find her missing real mom.

Written and directed by first-time filmmaker David A. Flores, the film stars newcomer (and star-in-the-making) Mary Rose Branick and indie gem Virginia Newcomb (A24’s THE DEATH OF DICK LONG, IFC’s THE BETA TEST).

Regarding the film, Flores says, “LIKENESS is a universal story about grief and acceptance. Anyone who has experienced loss can relate to this story.”

What’s next for LIKENESS?

Flores says, “We have a feature script ready to go. The team’s ready to go. It’s, unfortunately, all about funding. We hope that our run on Omeleto can produce showstopping numbers, so Hollywood can’t deny that this is a story worth telling. If not Hollywood, someone who wants to make a movie with us!”
