BSoD review

I feel like the ripple effects of the isolation imposed by the pandemic are still there for all to see.

Whether its just leaving the house when necessary, online shopping over going to the supermarket, or becoming addicted to our devices and computers because of working from home so much.

Horror short BSoD from director Antoine Enjalbert presents a scenario where we witness the unravelling of a lonely person.

Sitting in the darkness, sweaty in what could be the height of summer, this feels like self-imposed isolation.

Clearly Enjalbert wants to speak about the dangers of addiction to technology, and goes down a more surreal path to communicate this.

BSoD has some striking visuals and feels quite effective, and may certainly get some viewers grabbing a book or going outside for some exercise instead of their tablet or phone in the future.

BSoD screened as part of Giallo Film Festival 2024.
